It’s the end of August 2024, and depending on where you live, summer is quickly coming to an end. But here in Florida, it’s summer nearly all year round so no temperature relief for us. Nevertheless, everyday is a gift, and regardless of our hot, cold or mild circumstances, we should be thankful to roam the earth wherever we may be.
Speaking of roaming, did you know that the tiger is the largest cat to roam the earth? These Asia natives, are, for the most part, solitary creatures that hunt at night, searching for prey in the darkness including deer, water buffalos, and wild pigs. Unfortunately, lack of food can be problematic as each tiger requires up to 60 large animals per year.
I chose this image as the August Photo of the Month as it is also featured in my second children’s photography and poetry book that will be completed in a few short weeks. “At the Zoo with a Blue Bird named Bob” will take children on an adventure through their local zoo where they can view photographs of some of their favorite animals such as flamingos, elephant, zebras, monkey’s, and yes, tigers, while reading fun and informative poetry about each animal. In my first book, “On Flowers and Insects with a Blue Bird Named Bob” each page took children on a wonderful tour of flowers and insects. Over a 100 copies were sold!
Below, you’ll find the new cover for the second book.
The photograph is available as a high resolution file for all my upgraded subscribers. Thank you for upgrading and supporting my work.
